Yvonne studied law at Strathclyde University and gained her Diploma in Legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law and was admitted to the Law Society of Scotland’s Roll of Solicitors in 2003. She is also a Notary Public.

Yvonne is an experienced and committed Domestic and Commercial Property Solicitor. She joined the legal sector at the age of 16 and after rising through the ranks she now hold a senior position within the profession. Yvonne has a winning manner and is able to explain complex legal situations to clients in “plain English”.

For the first 10 years of her professional career she worked in a small but well respected city centre firm. Her work included assisting a mortgage client over many years with their mortgage portfolio, including acting as Scottish Counsel as part of a team of cross border and international advisers. More recently she completed 8 years with a well respected “family sized” city centre firm who recently celebrated 140 years in the business.

Her experience includes buying and selling of domestic and commercial property (including distressed (ie repossessed) properties), buying, selling and leasing of commercial property, buying and selling of business, retail and industrial premises and also businesses, including, hotels, restaurants and licensed premises and dental and veterinary practices. She has acted for Trustees in Sequestration, Trustees in Bankruptcy, heritable creditors in possession and holders of Charging Orders. Her loyal client base ranges from advising those relatively new to the property market through to high networth individuals and other legal and non-legal professionals and includes individuals, partnerships, companies, Trustees and also multiple generations of the same family, often representing them in both their personal and business interests.

Yvonne is also an experienced private client solicitor, assisting private and business clients alike with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Estate Planning and the administration of estates of deceased persons (eg. Probate), including assisting and advising clients in the UK, US, Canada and other legal jurisdictions in respect of Scottish estates or the Scottish assets of deceased persons domiciled abroad.
Her wide ranging multi-discipline experience makes her unusually placed to advise clients across a wide spectrum of issues that can come into play when acting for clients in the buying and selling of domestic and commercial property.

Beyond the office, Yvonne enjoys attending concerts, reading and spending time with friends and family.
